 Welcome!

So... everything I had planned for this blog got put on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic. My dreams envisioned a culinary-themed travel blog, until our world came to a standstill, especially in regards to travel.

For the foreseeable future, I'm steering the blog in a slightly different but parallel direction, using cooking and baking as an escape from being a forced homebody, and as a way to live out my travel fantasies here in my home. I strongly believe in supporting local famers/growers/producers and restaurants, especially as they are one of the demographics hit hardest in the current global situation. I've challenged myself to reduce buying from large chains or middlemen as much as possible, and hope to share that journey with you, and to introduce you some amazing producers in my area.

As I create and share those creations with you, I'll do my best to tag all the producers that I use, and hopefully connect you with their websites and where you can purchase them. If you know of any amazing producers (especially if their local, organic, and independently owned), please shoot me a message and I'll do my best to get ahold of their products and incorporate them into a post.

I hope you enjoy reading my blog as much as I am enjoying planning and making it happen, cheers!
